Mennessons dans le studio

From his beginnings until his death in 1983, Mennessons sought to reflect that which gave him breath or spirit in his life. He did not limit himself to the Christian spirituality of the Old and New Testaments but equally tried to penetrate Asiatic spirituality, essentially Zen Buddhism: he appreciated its humour which ran to the absurd, its austere joyfulness and its koans.

In Christian texts he chose to mediate either on its world vision of the Apocalypse where heavenly Jerusalem rewards the elect, or on the Christian message of love which invites us to deepen our relationships with others. In the 80s he combined these ideas with Muslim Sufism.
