Mennessons dans le studio
Sport

In his youth Mennessons did athletics (running) at the Stade Français. A constant spectator of athletic meetings in Paris, he helped at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.

At the Parc des Princes or at the old Stade de Colombes, during rugby or football matches he accumulated numerous sketches which sometimes turned into more refined works: oils on canvas, gouaches or Indian Inks.

This universe allowed the study of movement, which is itself a challenge to render onto an immobile surface, movement ordered by a playful strategy and driven by the desire to surpass oneself. The sport ethic fitted with his life’s philosophy to lighten up and break strictly ordered surfaces with bright colours.
