Created in the surroundings of the beach at Berck, here is the series of “ Hexa en suite” marquetry-patchworks on paper, in which Mennessons often plays with the opposition between what is positive and what is negative. The flight of the white wings soaring up into the dark aerial space will appear again with inverted values in the “Alighting of the small gull”. The painter’s creation follows the course of nature which has always be the source of his artistic creativeness.
